ESHAP is an acronym for relatively intensive chemotherapy regimen that is used for salvage therapy in relapsed or refractory lymphomas and Hodgkin’s lymphoma. In combination with monoclonal antibody Rituximab it is called R-ESHAP or ESHAP-R.

Does R-ESHAP improve outcome after rituximab-based chemotherapy?
Conclusions R-ESHAP was associated with a high response rate in patients who were not refractory to upfront rituximab-based chemotherapy. However, the survival outcome was poor for patients previously exposed to rituximab, as compared to in those who had not previously been treated with rituximab.
