What is Regumare?
Regu-mate (altrenogest) is a synthetic hormone used to suppress the behavioral signs of heat (also called oestrus or being in season).

REGU-MATE (altrenogest) Solution 0.22% is indicated to suppress estrus in mares. Suppression of estrus allows for a predictable occurrence of estrus following drug withdrawal. This facilitates the attainment of regular cyclicity during the transition from winter anestrus to the physiological breeding season.
Does Regumate have side effects?
Acute effects after single exposure are possible; however, continued daily exposure has a greater potential for these effects. Acute effects include disruption of the menstrual cycle, uterine or abdominal cramping, increased or decreased uterine bleeding and headaches.
How long does a pregnant mare need to be on Regumate?

How does Regumate work for mares?
