What is Sikalite?
Sikalite®is a powdered waterproofing admixture, which blocks the capillaries and pores in concrete cement, mortars preventing the movement of moisture.
How do you use Sikalite waterproofing?
Sikalite®is added to the dry mix of Portland cement and sand prior to the addition of the gauging water. Dry component should be mixed thoroughly before water is added to ensure a proper distribution of the Sikalite® throughout the mix.
How do I use Cemflex?
APPLICATION. Saturate absorbent surfaces thoroughly with water. While the surface is still damp, apply a coat of waterproofing slurry. Pre-cut the Cemflex® Fabric into convenient sizes for application, then soak the fabric in the slurry.
How long does Cemflex take to dry?
You will now have a Cemflex slurry that is ready to be applied. once the entire area is covered and all the air bubbles have been removed, apply a generous coat of the slurry and allow to dry for 24 hours.
Can you paint over Cemflex?
Precut manageable pieces of Cemflex membrane for the required area. After waiting 24 hours, mix a new batch of the Cemflex slurry and apply the final coat to the completed area. Allow the final coat to dry for 6 to 8 hours before applying tiles or painting the surface.
How do you use a key coat?
Apply undiluted product at 8m² / L. CEMENT KEY COAT APPLICATION: Thoroughly mix 2 parts Powabond to1 part cement and apply at 5 – 6 m² / L. The addition of cement increases the waterproofing properties of the keycoat.
