What is a 128-bit block?
A new 128-bit block cipher called CRYPTON is proposed as a candidate algorithm for the Advanced Encryption Standard (AES). The cipher encrypts/decrypts a 128-bit data block with a variable-length key up to 256 bits (with increment by a multiple of 32 bits) by iterating a fully par- allelizable round function 12 times.
