The only difference between the DW735X and the DW735 is that the DW735X comes with infield and outfeed tables for the planer, and an extra set of planer knives for the cutterhead. While the DW735 is just the planer machine without the infeed and outfeed tables and the extra planer knifes.

Are DeWalt planer blades any good?
The blades that came with the DeWalt planer were very cheap. They did not last long, soon it was kicking out the safety with the shallowest of passes, and then you had to wait 3 minutes to reset them. Being able to turn them over, got me through one project before that side was shot. I bought the carbide blades and they are wonderful.

They’re a pain in the ass to install, not because of the blades but because Dewalt makes replacing blades a 25 minute process involving the removal of about 50 screws. The blades themselves do a great job, and when one side is worn out, you can flip them to get another round of use out of them.
