Why is Wicked Twister at Cedar Point closing?
SANDUSKY, Ohio (WJW) – Labor Day Monday is the last time Cedar Point fans can ride the park’s Wicked Twister roller coaster before it closes for good. In an announcement early last month, Cedar Point officials said the double-twisting impulse roller coaster will close on Monday, Sept. 6 to make way for future projects.

The inverted roller coaster is one of 18 that operate at the amusement park in Sandusky. It opened in 2002. It was not immediately known what the closure would make way for at the park, however Cedar Point said it would be removed to make way for “future park improvements.”
