Which shocks are better KYB or Bilstein?
Whether you opt for the top of the line Bilstein shocks or the slightly cheaper KYB ones, you’re getting a great set of shocks. It’s why both brands earn phenomenal overall grades, but Bilstein edges out a slight advantage.
Which shock is better KYB or Monroe?
Both KYB and Monroe give a smooth ride as they are up to OEM standards. The smoothness depends on the shocks’ target. Here, we can say that KYB provides a smoother ride due to its stability on bumpy terrains. Monroe also brings its best, noticeable by its performance on all-weather roads.
What is the difference between KYB Monomax and Bilstein 4600/5100?
I’m considering the KYB Monomax or the Bilstein 4600 (my understanding is the 4600 is essentially the same as the 5100 except the 5100 can be used in lifted vehicles, mine is stock height). Anybody have experience with the Monomax and the Bilstein?
How to tell the difference between Bilstein and Monomax shocks?
1) compress both shocks slowly from fully extended to fully compressed, the Monomaxs are much, much harder to compress. 2) compress both shocks suddenly, as in dumping 200lbs on them in about a tenth of a second, the Monomaxs just don’t react/compress much; the Bilsteins react and compress fairly quickly and moderately easily.
What is the difference between kykyb and Bilstein shocks?
KYB does the same with shocks. On the other hand, Bilstein come from another land of auto traditions: Germany. Some people say German people have a strange sense of humor…well, Bilstein accept no jokes with how they manufacture their shocks!
Why should I buy a KYB suspension for my car?
Not to mention that they’re significantly cheaper too. Second reason: KYB is probably the best suspension manufacturer for Asian cars. The company has deals with leading car makers like Toyota. Gas-A-Justs are nothing else than an improved OEM with better control, better cornerning and better shock life.
