Frecklewish wasn’t killed by a bite. She was killed by poison, revealed in Pinestar’s Choice, page 142. “Mapleshade found her, all right, patrolling by Snakerocks. Mapleshade forced her into a pile of stones where snakes were hiding, and one of them spat venom right in Frecklewish’s eye!”
