The name of Courage has almost vanished. The Anchor Brewery at Horselydown closed in 1981 and all brewing was transferred to the vast Worton Grange (now Berkshire) Brewery was had opened near Reading in 1978. In 1990 it became part of Foster’s Brewing Group.
