They had more humor, fun stories and situations the characters would be in that made it more interesting. Today’s cartoons (like Gravity Falls, Adventure Time, Steven Universe) are ok, they’re not bad, but they tend to copy or take a lot of influence from anime which I don’t like in a western cartoon.
