There are a number of registered campsites around the Isle of Man. Informal seasonal camping is also permitted at 2 venues managed by the Department of Environment, Food and Agriculture. Both sites have limited pitches available. The Sulby Claddagh is not a registered campsite but informal camping is allowed from 1 May to 30 September.

The walk then descends through King’s Forest following the forest road to join the A1 Douglas to Peel road at Greeba Castle. After turning towards Peel the route then uses the Rhenny Road to access the heritage trail on the old railway line. The walk finishes with a level walk back to the start at Crosby.

The route then turns off the bridleway to follow the boundary wall along the flank of Slieau Ruy, giving extensive views over the central valley towards Douglas. The walk then descends through King’s Forest following the forest road to join the A1 Douglas to Peel road at Greeba Castle.
