Grogu appears to be the youngest known member of Yoda’s species. He is only 50 years old, and he is still developmentally an infant. For the whole first season of The Mandalorian™, they referred to him only as the Child.
Did Yoda ever train Grogu?
No it didn’t. His name was not hinted or suggested. It said that he was trained by many masters but did not name any. The Mandalorian season 2, episode 5, “The Jedi” suggests that one of Grogu’s original Jedi Masters was Yoda back during the Age of the Republic.
