You can bring the drinks and food into the audience, however rude it might seem. But especially on the yard it’s acceptable to watch the play with a pint of beer in your hand.

Filming of Shakespeare’s Globe education sessions is strictly prohibited. Photography may be permitted for personal use and at the discretion of the practitioner. We are afraid we cannot permit the use of Shakespeare’s Globe’s logo.

Is it cold at the Globe theatre?
The theatre is terribly cold in the winter as it’s roofless (we were there in January at -10ºC). But it’s woth it. There are guided tours, a little museum and a souvenir shop. A bit too expensive, we thought.
What do you wear to an open air theater?
What should I wear? You are welcome to dress as casually or as smartly as you like. However, the theatre is entirely outdoors so please remember to come prepared for all types of weather, including sun cream, waterproofs and jumpers. We do sell picnic blankets and ponchos.
