What does RAD dance stand for?
The Royal Academy of Dance is an organization which focuses on dance training and education. In lay-man terms, it is simply a method of educating people on how to dance ballet.

What is free Enchainment?
In the “free enchainement” the examiner doesn’t demonstrate, just tells you the name of the steps and you have to do them. So first of all you need to learn the vocabulary required for the Intermediate exam. Perhaps the teacher would photocopy the relevant page in her syllabus book which gives you the vocabulary.
How long do rad results take?
The RAD issues a print out of the results to the class teacher 4 weeks after the last day of the exam session; this can mean a wait of up to 7 weeks. You will be notified when your results are in.

Exam results You will be notified when your results are in. An explanation of the marks and what each level means is provided in the RAD exam specifications (link above). For graded exams, candidates will have an overall mark of Pass, Merit or Distinction and will receive a bronze, silver or gold medal accordingly.
What is a RAD class award?
The RAD class Award is a supported form of the same examination material. It is marked in a less formal manner and the class teacher is present. The Class Awards build confidence and can provide an opportunity for those students only attending one lesson a week to work towards an accomplishment.
