What is Shout Out Card?

A shout-out card is a handwritten note that recognizes the work or accomplishments of someone else. These are often dropped into an opaque container through a slot, then collected at the end of the week, month, or year.

How do you give a shout out?

Here are some quick tips to give a shout-out that feels meaningful and not contrived…

  1. Don’t force it. No need to use shout-outs unless there is something you truly do want to recognize a team member for – or else, it’ll feel artificial.
  2. Be specific.
  3. Share a customer review.
  4. Remove buzzwords.
